If you pay close attention to Bollywood music today, there is at least one song that is a remake of an olden chartbuster. Songs which had gorgeous leading ladies like Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi, Sridevi, Hema Malini, Neetu Singh and the doll Helen. I bet some of you have your faces twisted thinking, 'who are they?'

Today's DJ parties are nothing more than dropping the bass on renditions of some of the best numbers Bollywood gave us in the 90's. But not all flopped. Here's a list of top Bollywood golden numbers that went through a remake and now we got new chartbusters.

1. Ik ho gaye hum aur tum became The humma song

2. Saara Zamana haseeno ka deewana, today stars Urvashi Rautela dancing to a faster beat of the old mix

3. Bhool Bhulaiya got a touch up and was released as Hare Krishna Hare Ram in Commando 2

4. Tamma Tamma (1990) brought forth moves from the dancing queen Madhuri Dixit, but Alia and Varun made us forget all about that.

5. The all time favorite Cheez Badi hai mast did not escape the waves of remakes and the rendition did not disappoint

6. Raat Akeli by Asha Bhosale is now imagined in a whole different scenario thanks to Ragini MMS

7. Where Rishi Kapoor busted iconic moves to Bachna ae haseeno, there his son took over and made the song a fun lively and naughty one

8. Khaike pan banaras wala with its disco tune rocking in the background, SRK totally made people go crazy thinking whether Big B's version was better or this one

9. Hawa Hawaii is one song that has more than just one remix. Sridevi's bubbly song in Mr. India has two new versions as of now. One in the movie Shaitan and another in Tumhari Sullu

10. Laila main Laila from the hit movie Qurbani in 1980 got our baby doll's attention and she added so much spice and cuteness to the song, I would totally go for the new version

11. My all time favorite did not get a disappointing remake. Tayyab Ali from the super hit Amar Akbar Anthony made it to One upon time in Mumbai : Dobara

12. Neha Kakkar transformed one of the golden hits into a serene tune. I'm talking about Aashiq Banaya in Hate Story IV starring the hot and sizzling Urvashi Rautela

Do you think Bollywood should continue producing same old tunes touched with electric guitar sounds and some 'drop the bass' kind of stuff? I believe they should stop messing with the olden goldies and make new music. That's less noise and videos are 10% less cringe worthy. Good music is slipping out the hands of artists. I really hope they get their grip back.
