20 Childhood Cartoons From The 90s Which Cannot Be Replaced From Today's Cartoons Series

Date:2017-11-26 12:57:38

By erica

I remember coming home from school and dragging my mother with me to watch Cartoon Network, Pogo, Disney channel, Nick channels. I didn't want to miss a single show. Correction! Not show, EPISODE!

I would watch a rerun of them all and not mind a bit. These shows were epic. They made me laugh tears of joy. I don't remember crying while watching any of these.

Shows like Hannah Montana, Suit life of Zack and Cody, Lizzie McGuire ( not cartoons but still epic), Ben 10, Kim possible Shinchan, Phineas and Ferb, Powerpuff girls, Johny Bravo, Yogi bear, Family guy, Dennise the Menace Looney tunes, Courage the cowardly dog, Thomas the train, Miffy and friends, Motu Patlu, Oggy and the cockroaches , Winx club, dragon tales., The Flintstones, Garfield, Spongebob squarepants, Ed- Edd & Eddy, The Simpsons, Oswald aren't on this list because I picked only 20.

I might've missed out on some more, maybe you could mention them in the comments section and help me out?

1. Tom & Jerry

Source:

Catchphrase : Thomassssssssss

Our favorite cat and mouse! The only dialogue spoken was by the Lady who would shout "Thomassss" every time something went wrong.

2. Mickey mouse clubhouse

Source:

If you failed to sing along to Mickey's chant "Eesska, Mooska, Mickey mouse" and the watch the clubhouse appear out of thin air, you my friend, have not lived!

I wish his house would stay where it was because honestly, singing that song every day kind of made me hate it over time. Sorry Mickey.

3. Bob the Builder

Source:
Catchphrase : Can We Fix It?

                    Yes we can!

The little guy knew the solution to everything wrong with building! It was astonishing. Now when I think about it, Bob taught us group work and team building. He was practically our first HR manager training us for the job.

"BOB THE BUILDER KARKE DIKHAENGE BOB THE BUILDER HAAN BHAI HAAN"

"HAA KAR HI LENGE"

4. Noddy

Source:blogspot

Catchphrase:

Make way for Noddy!

Mr. Plod (the inspector) : "STOP! In the name of Plod!"

Noddy makes me realize how sad my life is. The little guy was a toy ( I think) in Toyland and had so many friends, a car, a cop after him and unbelievable problems. The only part I`m concerned about here is the car.

I`m stuck trying to convince my mother to let me learn to drive now that I`m at the ripe age of 20.

5. Mr. Bean

Source:nocookie

Once in way we hear Mr. Bean say "Teddy" that sends us into fits of laughter .

Mr. Bean is a man we will never forget. He fixed his place in this world as the silent joker. And by joker I mean a funny man. Not a clown. He was simple, innocent and maybe a little crazy. I mean, in one episode he hates that his date kisses him on the cheek and they are so competitive when they play a game later. He is way too close to a soft toy too. But every man has his own story. . . why not cartoons then?

6. The Power Rangers

Source:

Catchphrase : "It's Morphine time!"

I do not remember this show. But the suits look the best. I mean, I really don't get what was it they actually did. But I dig the suits!

7. Recess

Source:

Theodore Jasper "T.J." Detweiler 's catchphrase is "Whomps".

I remember these kids trying to save the school from turning into a place where an evil man des evil experiments. That's one episode I remember. It was summer break and T.J. gathers up his friends when he notices strange happenings.

If that was me, firstly I wouldn't wander around my school, secondly I wouldn't try to save it. That's how normal people think!

8. Bugs Bunny

Source:

Catchphrase : "Ehh! What's up doc?"

He was a favorite. I need a tissue and a day full of Bugs Bunny.

9. Doremon

Source:

A young boy, beaten by bad grades and bullying is gifted with a robotic cat sent by his descendants to help the kid himself out. The robotic cat also has a gadget which he whips out to help solves problems instead making it worse.

WOW! Now I wish I was a cartoon. My descendants are willing to help from the future.

10. Scooby dooby Doo!

Source:

Catchphrase : "Scooby doo, where are you?"

TBH, these guys are squad goals. A talking dog? Who wouldn't want one of those? They dress smart, solve mysteries, eat yummy stuff, got their own van. First Noddy, now them?

11. Popeye-The sailorman!

Source:

Catchphrase:

"I yam what I yam and that's all what I am"

"That's all I can stands, 'cause I can't stands no more!"

I don't know if this cartoon was a treat or a curse. Popeye made spinach so popular presentation it as a source of super human strength-I believed him! I drank spinach soup for a very long time.

12. Dora the explorer

Source:

Catchphrase : "Swiper no swiping"

I never got around to watching this show. But according the Wiki page, this 7/8 year old little girl with her purple bag and monkey called "boots" sets out on adventures. She has to solve puzzles and riddles. There is a fox, Swiper who steals things, I guess.

Now let me get this straight. She has no parental supervision, no money and I doubt she has a bike of any kind to get her around. This girl must've been fit and enjoying independence day every day!

13. The pink panther

Source:

The theme song will probably stick with us forever.

14. Pokemon

Source:

Catchphrase : "Gotta catch 'em all!"

I did not watch this show. So pardon me, but I have no valuable insights to share here.

15. Chotta Bheem

Source:

I've seen a few episodes of this one in Hindi. There is Raju and Chutki who are Bheem's friends. Bheem is known for strength. He fights monsters, protecting Dholakpur and impressing the Raja.

His weakness and love : Laddoos.

16. Dexter's Laboratory

Source:

Catchphrase : "What does this button do?" Dee Dee.

Dexter is a boy genius inventor with a secret laboratory in his basement. He must've had a pretty big one. Have you seen the lab? He's constantly trying to keep his sister out of his way (out of the lab). If only the little genius could've come up with a solution to deal with annoying siblings, wouldn't we all wish he was real? He becomes the nemesis of his neighbor, who by the way is a genius as well and is named Mandark.

How this kid survived childhood with that name is a mystery to me.

17. Haddi mera buddy

Source:

What was previously popularly known as THE GRIM ADVENTURES OF BILLY & MANDY is now known as HADDI MERA BUDDY (bones my friend-literal translation). Why would cartoon network do this!? I hate it.

Never win a limbo competition. You might end up befriending a grim reaper. That's what happened here and then they had adventures.

Anyone willing to give limbo a try? Maybe we'll get lucky and win ourselves a grim reaper too.

18. Dragon Ball Z

Source:

Catchphrase : "Osu, ora Gokuu"

" KAAAA, MEYYY, HAAAA, MEYYY, HAAAA!!!!! "

Although it is an anime, it was the best cartoon in India. The show follows a character named Goku with other Z warriors fight evil to protect the earth.

19. Winnie the Pooh

Source:

Catchphrase : "Oh bother!"

It is an adaptation of A.A.Milne's children's books. You got Winnie the pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Christopher Robbin and many others.

20. Richie Rich

Source:

Richie Rich is the world's wealthiest kid with a lack of friends. He has a butler and a robot maid, a professor, his dog dollar and other characters who make appearances.

This kid together with his friends sets out on adventures.
