Hacks On How To Get Rid Of Stains From Your Clothes

Stains that are hard to remove are the most frustrating thing ever. Imagine getting a new dress, wearing it to show it off to the world, thinking that you'll look cute while eating chocolate ice cream with that and dropping it that causes a stain that will NEVER go away. Do you think that's going to happen? Nope, because there are some home remedies that can help you clear every kind of stain there is.

1. Coffee Stains

To remove tea/coffee stains, dip the cloth in 2/3 cups of water and 1/3 cups of vinegar. After rubbing it, let it dry outside in the sun.

2. Grass Stain

When kids spend a day out in the sun, playing in the grass, there are often grass spots on their clothes. To remove those, use toothpaste and an old toothbrush. Put a small amount of toothpaste on the stain, dip the brush in some water and then scrub the stain away.

3. Red Wine Stain

Put some salt on the stain till it absorbs the stain and turns pinkish. Soak this cloth in Tide water overnight and wash in the morning.

4. Protein Stains

These are our own stains like vomit and blood. Soak the stain in 3% hydrogen peroxide or some soda and use a butter knife or the end of a spoon to scrape off the stain. To rinse it away, use some more solution and then wash as usual.

5. Ink Stains

For all the times when a pen leaks in the pocket of our shirt? Use some hairspray by spraying it on the stain and then dab the stain with some vinegar to remove the stain.

6. Collar Stains

In order to save your best shirt from getting destroyed with collar stains, you can use something that is so easily available “shampoo”. Put some shampoo on the collar, rub the collar together to clean it and then allow the garment to soak for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it.

7. Rust Stains

Visited a rusty place and got some on your clothes too? Here's the solution to it: Take a cotton ball and soak it in vinegar. Take this ball and dab the stain with it. Then take some salt and put it on the stain to soak the vinegar in and continue to rub. Let this dry in the sun.

8. Oil Stains

These should be treated as soon as possible. First try washing the garment in very hot water with some dish soap. If this also doesn't help then move on to pouring some hot water and vinegar/baking soda on the stain. This should get the stain out after which you can dry it in the sun.

9. Curry Stains

To remove curry/mild oil stains, you can use baby powder. Sprinkle some baby powder on the stain and wait for the stain to get soaked up. As the stain gets absorbed in the powder, it becomes easy to remove.

10. Stains on white clothes

When life gives you nothing, it gives you lemons. Lemons act as mild bleaching agents so whenever you have a stain on your precious whites, just use a lemon to remove the stain and bring the white shine back.

11. Restaurant drink spills

If you're ever in the situation where you're in a restaurant and a drink spills over your dress, just order a soda and put it all over the spill. This will help the stain to rise to the top and make it easier for you to clean when you get home.
