Netflix India is set to introduce eight new films, including the much-awaited film LUDO. While Netflix is yet to announce the release date, it is most likely to premiere in the upcoming months.
Due to the ongoing pandemic in the entire country, the Indian film industry is shifting bases on OTT platforms. The makers of the films are choosing to release their films on OTT platforms, so that the audience doesn't have to wait till the time theatres open up again to enjoy the movies.
LUDO is directed by the Barfi Director, Mr. Anurag Basu and stars the ensemble cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Rajkumar Rao, Rohit Suresh Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi and Asha Negi. It is being touted as a dark anthology comedy film. The film is a combination of four anthologies and has a prototype similar to Anurag Basu's hit film Life...in a Metro!
Actor Rajkumar Rao took to Instagram to launch the first look of the film in a short video and wrote, "Watch four players take fate into their own hands in a high stakes game where nothing is a coincidence and everything is planned." Towards the end of the post, he mentioned that Ludo is being released on Netflix.
The video shows Rajkumar Rao flaunting long hair and walking in a certain style, wearing flashy clothes, and carrying a baby's bag around his shoulders with Fatima Sana Sheikh on his side. The actress is seen wearing a red sequined dress and is holding a baby in her hand.

The film has been pushed a couple of times and the release had been delayed. It was supposed to hit screens in April this year, but the countrywide lockdown happened and the release got stalled again. And now, the film is all set to be released on Netflix.
According to a portal, the multi-starrer Ludo has cracked a deal with Netflix at over 50 Lakhs. Many acclaimed Bollywood films like Bhumi Pednekar starrer Dolly Kitty Aur Who Chamakte Sitare too, has made a deal with Netflix.
