Raising awareness of growing trees has always been a primary motive for humans to sustain. We have seen seed Rakhi's, and even we saw people distributing seeds on their marriage to raise awareness about the plantation.
Like these great initiatives, The Delhi Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has come up with a great idea to promote the plantation of trees by offering seeds as a Prasad in educational institutions of Delhi University to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the president of the committee has made it mandatory for the students from 9 colleges of Delhi University plant those seeds in & around their campus and across the Delhi Gurudwara's.
The drive is to motivate Sikhs to come forward to promote greenery and love for nature. Over 55000 trees will be planted by this year, which includes, neem, ber and many other types of plant species which will benefit the nature most.
