It is that time of the year again where merriment is back in the air. While some of us have already booked places and vacations for our New Year Eve and etc, some of us would rather have a quiet celebration or well, no celebration at all. No, not in a nihilistic way to be a buzz kill, but some of us just simply like having a quiet evening and calm moments.
Like we do not do this everyday, but since you are not big on celebration and parties, then why not simply stay inside and finish that series you started long ago? What's more? Get a friend to join too.
We spend most of our life doing things just for the sake of it so why don't you use the opportunity of the New Year for yourself? Cook yourself something special, a fancy-ass recipe and some dessert wine and candles and all the stuff.
Again, self-care is as important as self-grooming. You would not get so many off from work and academics once the year begins, so seize the day, hit the salon. Get a new haircut, maybe!
What is better than that? Take your doggy out to a nice and cute dog cafe and treat him with a special meal. Go take a walk together or play in the park.
Often with work and hustle, we lose the things in our life that completed us whole. Books happen to be one of those things that comfort our souls. The weather is so perfect for it anyway, so make yourself a hot chocolate, snuggle in your blanket and get to that book now.
Books are a great companion, but they are not everybody's thing either, maybe you have something else. Maybe painting comforts you or the strokes of pencils bring you peace, whatever it is, take a lead and go forth.
If you are more of a spiritual being, then why don't you go visit a church or temple? Just sit there and soak some holiness, wish random strangers warm wishes for the New Year to come by. Invite some positivity in your life!
You might have everything but some people do not even have the bare minimum. Go to an orphanage and spend a day there or an old age home and beat them at a game of chess, meet somebody new, make a difference in their day!
Your life is a mess as is your cupboard. If life is a far off call then let us remind you that your cupboard is still quite near to you, if you cannot sort your life then the least you can do is sort your cupboard out.
Your life is a mess, your cupboard is a mess and as is your room. Let us get to things one by one, shall we? First, the cupboard, then the room and then life will unravel itself simply.
If you literally want to treat your New Year as any normal day, then uses the day to finish upcoming deadlines. You would not be celebrating and you will be able to keep up with the workflow in the future too.
We did mention you cleaning your room and cupboard right? Yeah so, what you can do is take all those things that are in good condition that you do not use and stack them and find somebody who needs it more than you do. Maximum productivity!
Movie nights are always amazing and the horror movie is another kick altogether. Get a couple of your friends and run a horror movie marathon together, maybe something like those old Bollywood movies such as Vastushastra, Darna Mana Hai and etc.
If you do not feel like partying then be productive, the planet can use as many plants as they can so go forth and pay your due share.
Can anything be more comforting? No party, no hoorahs, just a simple home-cooked meal, and your family, that's all.
Well, if none of the above float your boat, then, sleep is always there to the rescue.
