Don't worry; you are not the only one. We all are sailing on the same boat. I was addicted to my social media accounts, the first thing in the morning I used to check accounts for any gossips or updates and last thing of the day also used to be the same. My lunch, dinner and high tea, all used to happen with my mobile as if it was my life partner but then, I realized, it is happening too much. It was affecting personal life as well as professional life.
I gave time to my passion. I started learning the Piano, which I always wanted to do, but my laziness came in between. I preferred my bed with the phone to my passion, but the moment I left it, my passion gave me immense happiness.
I started reading a book of various authors about whom I had only heard from people and it gave me my special "me time" with amazing stories.
I started opening up with my family more in comparison to the old times. I gave my maximum time to my parents because of which, our bond has been stronger than before.
I gave strong thoughts to my future, I had done all those things for my work, which I was doubtful for and trust me, and my work has only been better.
My restlessness has almost gone. Now, I don't act fidgety about checking my phone. I have become this calm and relaxed person.
I don't feel unhappy now because, I don't compare my life with the people on my accounts. I have started thanking God for giving me enough.
Now, I prefer to live my personal time with my family and friends unlike the time, when I had to show each update of my life to people around.
I have started being extrovert from an introvert, I like meeting new people and listening to their life experiences.
I was never a cook, but now, I have learned to be a good cook for my family. This has not only, improved my skills, but now my family is experiencing a special bond.
I was a lazy human being who never cared about her fitness, but now, I am addicted to my gym and no matter what, I go to my fitness center and spend hours there without getting restless about my phone.
I listen to my grandparent's childhood stories, which I always used to ignore because of my stupid social media accounts. My grandparents have never been this happy with me.
Last, I have become a better person who has learned to live in present within many circumstances without comparing to anyone else's. I am now a much healthier and happier person than before.
