Letters To Those Who Think Showing Bravery To Innocent Animals Look Cool!

This is addressed to all those people who take animal lives for granted and either through neglect or abuse torture these poor souls. Humanity is not defined just because we belong to the species of Homo sapiens but reflects in our benevolent actions towards the fellow human beings and every creature that graces this earth. This is the greatest religion and the greatest sentiment.

What is more shocking is the fact that little kids get sadistic pleasure from hurting stray pups or any kind of stray animals. This is less serious than the fact that adults neglect such actions and term it as fun. Even catching butterflies is an act of cruelty and if you come into the category of the collectors who catch these free, beautiful creatures just to preserve them; it's an ardent request to please stop. If you want to collect, it's more easier to capture pictures than to capture them living and cruelly killing them.

If you catch anyone torturing or hurting any animals, it's more cooler to stop them because usually what starts as fun ends up with grave injuries or in the death of the poor animal. If the animal somehow survives, he only turns violent with difficulty in adjusting to his surroundings.

It's quite cowardly to take out your rage on animals, as a human it is our duty to protect these animals. Our cruelty towards animals know no bounds, with cases reported of people getting sick of overpopulation of stray dogs in their locality and mercilessly killing them off as a swift solution. There are many ways to deal with such situations, killing them all off is not the best. If going by that logic, human population growth is exponential and to control that we also need to be annihilated in such manner, right? We need to understand that swift solutions are not usually the best and ethics are also what matters in the long run.

The recent sexual abuse cases of animals are more jarring and bile inducing. Are we so depraved that we are willing to commit such atrocious and downright disgusting acts and still be able to sleep peacefully? As humans we have surely reached new low. The cases that get reported are the ones that get highlighted and now imagine the ton of similar cases that get unnoticed and such despicable lowly beings roam freely.

Animals have been beaten, culled, poisoned, raped, run over, burned, experimented on and tortured to the level that would make your soul shrivel in complete disgust. If you can go to such lengths just because the animal stole something or scratched you or maybe was just in your way while you were carelessly driving, I am sorry to say that you have failed as the god's greatest race and nothing can really redeem you.

Social media has played an important role in bringing such incidents to light and the perpetrators of such inhuman acts do get punished. We need to be as informed as possible, we need to be quick and take proactive measures to ensure such crimes don't go unpunished. We need not be some great saviour but if you report it in due time you can save some animals life.

It's absolutely heart-breaking to see these animals recovering after undergoing the traumatic experiences. They also feel the trauma the way we do, the pain is also the same and the fact that they just can't communicate it doesn't make it less inconsequential or trivial. So, it's more of a plea to consider animal lives of equal importance, to accept them, to love them and to provide them with their living space that is as much their birth right as it is ours. Be kind and conscious.
