Coconut Oil Is Poisonous?? Harvard Prof Said So! & It's Not Going Well With People On Internet

Someone said something about our friend, Coconut.

Coconut oil is used in every household, whether used for preparing food, applying on hair, on our skin, for the remedial purpose, it is used everywhere and by everyone.

After knowing all such benefits about coconut oil from past, I don't know but for so many years. And suddenly hearing from a Harvard professor who has declared coconut oil as a 'Poison' is a shock.

The video is titled as kokosol und andere Ernahrungsirrtumer(After translation in English, it means, coconut oil and other nutritional errors).

Karin Michels, an adjunct epidemiology professor at Harvard's T.H. Chan School of Public Health and she is also the director of the Institute for Prevention and Tumor Epidemiology at the University of Freiburg in Germany. She made this statement during a lecture in German in July & the video was also uploaded in July itself..

This video has been seen by over 1.1 million users since its upload. The people do not seem to be happy with the claim which is said by the professor in the video.

As the comment section on the YouTube video is disabled so people took help of Twitter in giving their opinions.

If coconut oil is “ pure poison” then people in my hometown-Philippines should’ve died early coz they use coconuts and coconut oil everyday on every dish until now.. people there live long in their 100’s.. my grand parents both 101 yrs old.. still strong!

Soy or corn oils is good means it's bad

There are reasons y we place coconut n offer ghee in our puja to our Gods. Our ancient texts &Ayurveda hv exemplified the use of coconut, oil & ghee. Shud we research on wat is already proven to us by our wise ancestors just because the West are only studying about it now?
